Every year my three sisters, Kristin, Miriam and Beth go away with my mum for a long weekend. This year we chose the Vineyard and it was a particularly foody weekend. The Vineyard gave us an amazing deal and my sisters had suites which were incredibly luxurious. They are two to a room and I have a room to myself which, although not a suite, was still fantastic. The decorations are all tasteful and relaxing with great toiletries that I take back to go into shoeboxes for deprived people in Romania. I have already blogged about the Vineyard, their wonderful breakfasts, Saffron who is the best breakfast boss I have ever met and their superb food so I will just show you the highlights. On the first night we ate at the hotel and it was a great introduction to the weekend. That post will follow later. By the way don’t forget the Christmas Fayre on 2nd December at the Vineyard, sales of delightful goods in aid of Pelican Foundation and West Berkshire Mencap.
A few pictures of breakfast which don’t do it justice. The fruit, mueslis, patisserie and so many varieties of cooked breakfast were sublime.
